Options for close collaboration between The Cyprus Institute and the Ministry of Culture of France were broadly explored during a visit of a delegation from Joint Programming Initiative in Cultural Heritage (JPI CH), on Wednesday, 26th of April 2022 at CyI’s premises in Nicosia.
The delegation members including the Head of Department for Research, Valorisation and Intangible Cultural Heritage, Mr. Pascal Liévaux, and the Head of Secretariat JPI Cultural Heritage and Global Change, Mr. Alexandre Causse, had the opportunity to get to know more information about CyI and its currently running projects related with the preservation of cultural heritage.
Hosting the meeting were CyI Director of Research and Technical Support, Dr Vassilis Tsakalos and CyI Assoc. Prof. Sorin Hermon, in the presence of Mr. Evgenios Epaminondou, representative from the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy.
Following a discussion regarding The Cyprus institute’s research and educational activities, vision and potential common areas of interest for future collaboration, the delegation was given a guided tour of selected CyI facilities.
