The ECHOES project is the winner of the European Commission’s call: European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (HORIZON-CL2-2023-HERITAGE-ECCCH-01-01), worth €25 million over five years. Its aim is to create a shared digital environment with and for tangible and intangible cultural heritage communities. ECHOES will give heritage professionals and researchers access to data, innovative scientific and training resources and advanced digital tools. The project is led by the CNRS under the scientific coordination of Xavier Rodier, director of the Maison des Sciences de l’Homme Val de Loire. The CNRS, the Fondation des Sciences du Patrimoine and the CNR (Italy) have formed a consortium of 51 European partners to lead the ECHOES project.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the CNRS scientific coordinator with a team set up for the project (4 full-time staff for the duration of the project plus others on specific tasks) at the Maison des Sciences de l’Homme Val de Loire, in Tours.

The MSH Val de Loire is a research support unit (UAR) in Social Sciences and Humanities, which develops interfaces with other disciplines, under the supervision of the CNRS, the University of Tours and the University of Orléans, and brings together 22 research units covering all the disciplines in Social Sciences and Humanities.

Within the UAR, on the University of Tours site, the European Project Manager will work under the hierarchical and functional responsibility of the director of the Maison des Sciences de l’Homme Val de Loire, ECHOES project leader.

The successful candidate will join the MSH Val de Loire team and benefit from its environment. He/she will be required to take part in meetings in France and elsewhere in Europe.
