Una Europa is an alliance of 11 leading European research-intensive universities that have been educating Europe for over 1,000 years. We draw on our collective strengths with the aim of creating a truly European inter-university environment – a University of the Future.
Cultural heritage is one of the alliance’s six Focus Areas, each of which was selected to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, address pressing global and societal challenges and establish stronger links with EU policies and initiatives. Our focus on cultural heritage reflects not only the rich and diverse histories of our partner universities, but our commitment to understanding the multiplicity of European identities to foster cohesion within the Europe of the future.
The alliance’s engagement with cultural heritage is multifaceted, including, but not limited to, our Doctoral Programme in Cultural Heritage, which advances our vision of a truly European Joint PhD in Cultural Heritage among our partner universities, and our role as a lead partner of EIT Culture & Creativity, a multimillion euro partnership to transform the cultural and creative sectors and industries across Europe.
