The JPI CH regards with utmost seriousness the safety and wellbeing of all those directly or indirectly involved in projects financed by the JPI and sends its best wishes of good health to the many researchers and colleagues it supports and works with, and to their families and relatives.
The current COVID-19 pandemic is creating considerable disruption throughout the European research community, as universities have closed in many countries and research facilities and access to them are, at best, reduced to a strict minimum.
These disruptions are already greatly affecting the progress of many projects and will keep on doing so in the foreseeable future.
Therefore, if requested and in strict compliance with national provisions, the JPI CH will support requests for an extension to a project already started, or for postponing the starting date of a Conservation, Protection and Uses project, presently fixed at six months maximum after the funding decision.
