The ILUCIDARE Playground is back with a special edition in collaboration with our partner Cultural Heritage without Borders – Kosovo. For this local chapter, the event comes together with a Conference on cross-border heritage between Albania, Montenegro and Kosovo.

We have invited ILUCIDARE partners, heritage professionals, entrepreneurs, researchers and organisations to share their experience and imagine new ways of collaboration in a post-pandemic context. We will talk about how rural areas can find innovative ways to celebrate local heritage, connecting with artistic proposals and creative industries but also how to better cooperate across borders and beyond conflicts to make the best of heritage for dialogue and cultural relations.

This event is an opportunity for the ILUCIDARE network and its partner Cultural Heritage without Borders – Kosovo to take stock and share two years of capacity building in the Western Balkans, focusing on heritage-led innovation through mapping tangible and intangible heritage values of Kullas, vernacular fortified buildings.
The conference will gather professionals and institutional representatives in the field of cultural heritage to draw an action plan on how to best preserve this authentic shared heritage and develop joint strategies for applying for cross national nomination for UNESCO enlisting of Kullas.
