Set against the backdrop of the 20th anniversary of the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment and the UN Pact for the Future, the workshop will delve into innovative concepts, methodologies, and hands-on practices. Participants will engage with cutting-edge tools like AI and georeferencing while exploring the rich tapestry of cultural expressions tied to ecosystems.

  • March 10, 2025 – An online webinar dedicated to exploring foundational concepts, open questions, and interdisciplinary perspectives on the connections between ecosystems, culture, and sustainability.
  • May 20-21, 2025 – An in-person workshop at the University of Coimbra, focused on practical applications, methodologies, and case studies that link cultural and ecological dimensions.

Key objectives of event include:
